CHILDREN'S CHURCH

During the sermon of the 11 AM service, children age 4 to grade 5 are dismissed to their classrooms for age-appropriate instruction.

CORE BELIEFS

Know the Word of God deeply and Jesus personally.

Grow to be like Jesus, have a servant’s attitude, bring glory to God.

Go serve Him in our homes, church, schools, and communities.

WEEKLY PROGRAMMING

Children will receive age-appropriate Bible teaching, stories, crafts, games, and singing.

This year, our curriculum is provided by The Gospel Project for Kids — parents are encouraged to check it out!

TEACHERS & CLASSES

Children may be split up into multiple classes based on age or reading ability. These classes will meet in different parts of the Fellowship Hall.

We will always have two teachers present in Fellowship Hall, either teaching a single class together or each teaching their own class.

REGISTRATION

Before your child attends Children's Church, we ask that you print complete this short form, which will help us care for your child better. Copies of the form are also available at the church when you arrive.

DISMISSAL FROM THE SERVICE

At some point before the sermon in the 11 AM service, the pastor will dismiss children to Children's Church. Children may then make their way downstairs, and parents are invited to walk them down if they wish. Parents are encouraged to walk their children down the first couple of times they attend. They will be met downstairs by their teachers.

PICK UP

We ask that you pick your children up promptly following the service and sign them out on the sign-out sheet, as the Fellowship Hall will be transitioned from classroom space to host our after-church Fellowship Time.

BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS

Children are expected to be respectful of the teacher, other children and the building. If there is a lack of respect in any of these areas the student will be corrected twice and his/her parents/guardians will be notified at pick up. If the incident is more serious his/her parent/guardians will be alerted during the service and asked to come down to the class to discuss.

VOLUNTEERS

All who work with children at Christ Chapel must have attended the church for at least six months. If you would like to begin the application and interview process to become a Children's Church teacher or helper, please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form and we will be in touch.

WE TAKE CHILD SAFETY SERIOUSLY

All of our volunteers are rigorously screened and background checked, and we have put in place policies to create a safe environment for our children to learn, play, and grow in.
